GAEL: Grammar and Alphabet of the Egyptian Language

The Grammar and Alphabet of the Egyptian Language is a 34 page volume that lines up characters from the Egyptian Alphabet documents with grammatical explanations and definitions. It was written by the hand of William W. Phelps with a few entries added by Warren Parrish. Evidence suggests that Phelps was the main driver behind the GAEL. Is is unsure the exact timeline involving the creation of the GAEL. The Joseph Smith Papers lists the document as originating anywhere from July to November 1835 while some scholars argue for an early 1836 date.
